Travel & Hospitality Practice
Moderator – Greg Abbott, Senior Vice President, Travel & Hospitality
Co-moderator - Eugene Kolker, Executive Vice President, Global Enterprise Services and Co-Director, AI Center of Excellence
The Travel industry’s response to the pandemic has witnessed a rapid embrace of digital by many of its players. For example, where keyless entry took years for the industry to start to implement, post-COVID “contactless stay” is the new timeline. Travel has lagged behind industries such as ecommerce, marketing, and retail in their wide and early adoption of AI/ML solutions. Research predicts a similar steep growth curve in our industry’s adoption of AI/ML technologies.
- What specific AI/ML-driven solutions (Chatbots, NLP, biometrics, facial recognition, Deep Learning, fraud detection, personalization, ML-driven analytics) will find more acceptance as our industry recovers from the global pandemic? How, why, and when?
- Today, Travel’s implementation of AI is not that intelligent. Debate.
- “The challenge with Machine Learning is the huge amount of data required to enable the machine to learn the patterns of the individual or subsegment.” How do we deal with the industry silos?
- Can we enable an effective and sustainable AI/ML business innovation in post-COVID travel industry?
- Anna Jaffe – CEO, Mobi Systems
- Arnold Bramnick – CTO, Norwegian Cruise Lines
- Andy Owen Jones – CEO, B4DTravel
- Klaus Kohlmayr – Chief Evangelist, IDeaS
